The Denver Broncos have had the same basic uniforms dating to the late 1990s, and they’re the same uniforms they wore when they won their first two Super Bowl championships at the end of the John Elway era.

But in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season, when they visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they will debut a new set of uniforms.

This version features a sunset orange colorway, which is a shade they haven’t worn before, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports.

The Broncos have been struggling to establish a positive identity for themselves ever since Peyton Manning retired following their win in Super Bowl 50.

They haven’t made the playoffs since that 2015 season, and they have cycled through one starting quarterback after another with disappointing results.

Two years ago, they traded for Russell Wilson, which led some to tab them as Super Bowl contenders.

But they struggled mightily in 2022 and had one of the worst offenses in NFL history, and they weren’t that much better last season.

This year, they have rookie Bo Nix under center, and the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has played poorly to start the season.

He has thrown four interceptions, which is tied for the most in the league, and he has failed to throw a single touchdown pass while completing only 59.7 percent of his pass attempts.

The Broncos will be hoping that wearing different uniforms will give them better results on the field that they can build on moving forward.
