Gorm Frimannslund is stepping down as CEO of Bane Nor – Dagsavisen

The company announced this in a press release on Tuesday.

The decision has been taken together with the board of Bane Nor after a demanding period for the Norwegian railway, the company writes. The opening of the Follobanen went anything but smoothly.

Frimannslund was appointed CEO of Bane Nor in autumn 2016.

– Gorm Frimannslund is a wonderful person who I have greatly appreciated working with. He has led Bane Nor through demanding change processes based on the Railway Reform that was adopted in 2015, and laid the foundations for the modernization of the railway and development at the junctions, says chairman Cato Hellesjø of Bane Nor.

Frimannslund will be at the company’s disposal until January 2024. The board is now starting work on finding a new CEO.

Henning Bråtebæk will be appointed as the new CEO from Tuesday. He comes from the position of managing director of the operation and maintenance company Spordrift, which was formally transferred to Bane Nor on Monday.
