On Monday evening at around 9.15pm, a car drove off the road and ended up in the water in the center of Moi.
– There were three teenage boys in the car. Two of them were flown to Haukeland University Hospital, says police inspector Lene Tesdal Tonstad, in a press release.
The last boy managed to get out of the car himself, and the police were notified.
– He has been questioned by the police, says Tesdal Tonstad.
The police are investigating the accident.
– As of now, we do not have an overview of the course of events. Forensic technicians and the accident team from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration have been to the scene and carried out their investigations. We cannot say anything more about the cause of the accident until their reports are available. However, it is clear that the road where the accident happened was slippery, says the police inspector.
There were three local youths, aged 16 to 18, who were involved in the accident.
– The local community is looked after by the municipality and other partners, says Tesdal Tonstad.
