– He does not plead guilty, the man’s defender, lawyer Svein Holden, tells NTB.
Hamse Hashi Adan died of his injuries after being shot at Mortensrud in Oslo on 7 October 2021. Two days later, the brothers Valon (36) and Visar Avdyli (33) traveled from Norway to Pristina in Kosovo. They were subsequently charged with murder or complicity in the murder of Adan.
The eldest of the brothers came to Norway on Tuesday after being imprisoned in Turkey for illegal stay in the country.
The police’s request for custody was processed in office business – that is, without a court hearing being held – on Wednesday afternoon. There, the police succeeded in imprisoning the 36-year-old for four weeks with a letter and a restraining order, as well as full isolation for the first two weeks.
Asking for four weeks
– My client requests to be released, but consents to the matter being dealt with in office business, stresses lawyer Holden.
Valon Avdyli, who has previously been convicted of participation in IS, has so far not been questioned. He will “be offered the opportunity to explain himself in the case” over the next few days, the Oslo police state.
Asking little brother to sign up
– Valon Avdyli’s little brother Visar Avdyli is still wanted in the case. The police encourage him to report to the police, said police prosecutor Børge Enoksen in the Oslo police district during a press conference on Monday about the arrest.
The brothers are also charged with attempted murder of the people who were standing near Adan when the shots fell. They are also charged with the acquisition of weapons and their use in a public place.
