Nine of the total of 45 local teams of the Inland Labor Party are also crystal clear that they want to replace all or part of the Labor leadership.
– This election will take place at the national meeting, and I will not be involved in anticipating the course of events, is the answer Bjørn Ulekleiv gives to TV channel. He is the leader of the local team in Stenseng’s own home municipality, Nord-Fron.
Stenseng has been party secretary since 2015, and with his eight years, becomes the third longest-serving party secretary in Ap since the war. Both she and deputy leader Bjørnar Skjæran have said they want re-election.
The nine local teams that clearly want to replace all or part of the party leadership are Løten, Østre Toten, Rendalen, Vestre Slidre, Sel, Hamar, Ringebu, Gausdal and Alvdal. In addition, Hamar, Ringebu and Rendalen Ap have already issued demands that there must be replacements in the Ap management.
Many of the Ap local teams in Innlandet tell TV 2 that this week and next they will discuss whether they will also ask for replacements in the party leadership.
Kjersti Stenseng does not want to not comment directly on the demands from shop stewards in her own county who ask her to resign.
– The election committee will take care of this, she says.
