In November – after 13 years – Tom Rune Espedal resigned as general manager of Sandnes Ulf. Now he has got a new job.
Evidi has hired Espedal and today, Wednesday, he starts as business developer for Evidi in Western Norway. The company reports this in a press release.
– After several years in top sport, I am back where I started in the IT industry. Evidi is a growing company with great ambitions, but at the same time with local roots, and appeared to me to be very exciting. With skilled employees who have been working for a long time in Sandnes, there are great opportunities for me to develop with the company and help build a strong Evidi in the region, says Espedal
13 years as boss of the light blues is something Evidi has noticed.
“Espedal has considerable experience in management and getting people to play as a team. He has had a decisive role in taking Sandnes Ulf to where they are today. Espedal previously comes from the IT industry, and has participated in projects for the introduction of local and central IT solutions in top sports in recent years,” the company writes in the press release.
– A team player and culture builder
– It will be incredibly exciting to bring such a committed team player and culture builder as Tom Rune with us. He has already shown that he is able to build a club – and a workplace – where people can be skilled at different things, but deliver as a team. His curiosity and eye for how we explicitly create value for customers, together with our experience in building multidisciplinary teams in partnership with customers, means that he will be a brilliant capacity to further develop Evidi regionally, says Seglem.
Espedal takes up a position closely linked to the investment in a local presence in large parts of the country. CEO of Evidi, Jørn Seglem, believes that the addition of Espedal, and his technical and human expertise, will be important for Evidi’s further growth in the area.
– Evidi has a scale and breadth of competence and delivery that many companies in the region demand. In order to be able to give the right advice on the use of technology, it is important to know the market and be close to the customer. Now I look forward to contributing together with Evidi to further develop the region, and to expanding and complementing an already strong professional environment, says Espedal.
Øystein Elvestad (38) took over for Espedal.
