The UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) calls the killings of Lebanese government soldiers “a flagrant violation” of international law.
– UNIFIL is seriously concerned about the numerous attacks against the Lebanese army on Lebanese territory, despite the fact that they have made it abundantly clear that they are not involved in the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, it said in an announcement.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, at least 3,768 people have been killed and 15,699 wounded in the Israeli attacks, most since September when Israel stepped up the bombing and deployed ground forces.
