6 Longest Isekai Manga With The Most Chapters

6 Longest Isekai Manga With The Most Chapters

Isekai manga is abundant among all the fantasy series available to read, and with the rise in popularity of the genre, more and more of these stories have become available to read in English and other languages.

Some of these series have been going on for quite a bit, with some spanning over the years, so let’s take a look at six of the longest Isekai Manga with the most chapters. From another satirical isekai by the author of Konosuba, to a cultural clash between two worlds that gave birth to an epic tale of friendship and mutual trust.

6 Combatants Will Be Dispatched

An Incredibly Hilarious Satire By The Author Of Konosuba

  • Author: Nastume Akatsuki
  • Artist: Kiasa Misaaki
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 66/7

Combatants Will Be Dispatched is a whacky and incredibly disruptive satire about the bad guys from an evil organization sent to another world to conquer it. Envisioned by the creator of Konosuba, Natsume Akatsuki, this series has Combatant Nº6 and the Battle Android Alice as the main characters.

It has been going on for quite a while now, and though the popularity of the Konosuba Light Novels and the anime has drawn out the attention of its author, is still ongoing and has become quite popular as well. This Isekai satire is the right amount of comedy and fantasy that readers are looking for.

5 Multi-Mind Mayhem

A Maddening Tale About Three People Living In The Same Body

  • Author: Takami Ryousen
  • Artist: Honoji
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 100/11

Multi-Mind Mayhem is a curious Isekai, where the main protagonist reincarnates as a nobleman named Bard Cornelius, in a fantasy world of sword and sorcery. But, in a twist of fate, several other individuals besides Masaharu Oka (the MC) have been reincarnated in the same body. So now, he has to share bodies with a Sengoky period Samurai, an the actual owner of the body, Cornelius itself.

It is unclear which of these three is the dominant personality, and though throughout the series, this is constantly debated, its also a great read, with many chapters to enjoy a memorable adventure.

4 The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic

There’s Nothing Wrong With Using Healing Magic To Fight, Right?

  • Author: Kurokata
  • Artist: Reki Kugayama
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 73/14

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic is the perfect example of a balanced Isekai, with adventure, comedy, action, and drama, and no strange tropes or exaggerated harems. The story follows Ken Usato, a regular student who got summoned to another world by mistake alongside two other students who so happen to be the real chosen ones.

But Usato proves to have the skills for a rare type of magic: Healing Magic, and the brutal and feared commander of the Healing Squad recruits (kidnaps) him and teaches him through hellish spartan-like training how to be the ultimate Healer. Quite fun to play, though it has been on a hiatus quite a few times already, and that’s a red flag.

3 Tsukimichi Moonlith Fantasy

Great Adventure Manga, With A Powerful Gud Guy As MC

  • Author: Kei Azumi
  • Artist: Kotora Kino
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 99/13

Tsukimichi Moonlith Fantasy is a great tale of adventure and drama, with an MC who is overpowered, but a good guy at heart, and minds his own business unless someone threatens those he cherishes. It has been going on for a while now, alongside its Light Novel version which differs quite a bit in some aspects (mainly dialogue scenes) but it is perfectly adapted, so fans shouldn’t worry about missing too much.

The overall story is good, fun, and guaranteed to enthrall readers for hours and hours. Be mindful of some of the interlude scenes between arcs, which can be somewhat disruptive since they acquire a different pacing. This is not a revenge tale, it is just a regular guy learning to cope with rejection and moving on. And let’s leave it at that, to prevent further spoilers.

2 I Was Reincarnated As The 7th Prince So I will Perfect My Magic As I Please

A Fantastic Isekai Comedy, With Incredible Art

  • Author: Kokuzawa Yousuke
  • Artist: Kenkyo (Na Circle)
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 179/15

Combine One-Punch Man with a mix of Konosuba, and the typical Overpowered Isekai MC, and you get: I was reincarnated as the 7th prince so I will perfect my magic as I please. With one of the longest titles in Isekai history, it is no surprise that it also boasts an incredible amount of chapters published.

This story follows the misadventures of Prince Lloyd and his pet demon Grim, as he blasts through common sense (and breaks a quite few rules, and necks) and develops the most powerful magic spells ever created. But perhaps what’s most impressive about this manga is its beautiful art, which shows the masterful hand of the artist.

1 Gate

Soldier Boy Sent To Another World, Discovers The Goodness Of Cultural Exchange

  • Author: Yanai Takumi
  • Artist: Sao Takoru
  • Nº Chapters/Volumes: 196/25 Volumes (Available in English up to 135)

Gēto: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, or simply Gate, is a series about Japan entering into contact with another world through a series of portals (wormholes) that connect dimensions. At first, the other world invades, and the Japanese Defense Corps responds to the attack by driving the invaders away, and counter-attacking through the portals.

From that point, this story centers on the exploits of one Yōji Itami, a JDF officer sent to survey the new world, and as he goes through a series of cultural (and violent as well) exchanges with the inhabitants of this new world, he begins to form bonds with them and learn that they’re not so different from Earthlings. Quite a nice story, and one of the longest Isekai still ongoing, sadly, the official English translation made by Sekai Project has been axed, so it is not fully translated. At least not officially.
