The New York Jets secured their first win of 2024 and are now gearing up for their home opener against the New England Patriots this Thursday night.

With limited preparation time, the team has released its initial injury report, revealing some key concerns.

Notably absent from practice were linebackers Jermaine Johnson and CJ Mosley, both of whom were carted off during Sunday’s game against the Titans.

While Coach Robert Saleh suggested Monday that Mosley might still play, who is dealing with a toe injury, things do not look good.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported that Mosley missed the walk-through, casting doubt on his availability for Thursday.

Cimini added that Jamien Sherwood would likely step in as the MLB/signal-caller if Mosley can’t play.

The injury report also lists OL Tyron Smith, cornerbacks DJ Reed and Michael Carter II, and running back Breece Hall.

On a positive note, Cimini reported that Carter and Reed fully participated in Tuesday’s practice, indicating they may be ready for the game.

As the Jets prepare for their home opener, fans are eager to see an improved offense with Aaron Rodgers becoming more comfortable in the system.

Despite being on the injury list with a quadricep issue, Breece Hall’s potential return, along with Garrett Wilson’s presence, gives the team reason for optimism.

Rodgers certainly showed progress, and Hall’s dual-threat capabilities in both rushing and receiving have contributed to the team’s improved outlook.
