– My client has been made aware of the police’s decision to ban visitors. Beyond that, neither she nor I wish to comment on the matter. She wants both she and Marius Borg Høiby to have as much peace as possible, says Gunhild Vehusheia Aftenposten.
She is a legal aid lawyer for a woman whom it became known last week that Marius Borg Høiby has been accused of raping. Høiby refuses this.
On Wednesday, it became known that Høiby has imposed a restraining order against two women, which comes in addition to the restraining order against the victim following the incident at Frogner in August.
Vehusheia thus confirms that her client is one of these women.
At the same time, it also became known on Wednesday that Høiby has been charged with a further matter relating to sexual offences. The police have not disclosed what kind of sexual offense it is about or when it should have happened. Lawyer Lill Vassbotn is the victim’s assistance lawyer.
She says to The online newspaper that Høiby has been banned from visiting her client.
– The police have imposed the visiting ban for general preventive reasons, says Vassbotn.
She adds that it is a great strain for her client to be part of this case, and that she does not want attention or media coverage.
– She has not reported this relationship herself, the police have opened a case and have carried out an investigation. She has explained herself to the police and cooperated with them, says Vassbotn.
