The Malayalam-language movie, Bougainvillea has performed well on its first day at the box office. According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, Bougainvillea earned 3.25 crores on the first day. It had an overall 43.37% occupancy for Malayalam shows. The morning shows saw an occupancy of 35.19% while the afternoon shows saw an occupancy of 32.15%. The evening shows were occupied by 44.18% moviegoers, while the night shows had an occupancy of 61.97%.
The movie witnessed an overall occupancy of 65.75% in Kochi, followed by 40.50% in Trivandrum and 40.50% in Bengaluru. It had an overall occupancy of 25.00% in Chennai.
Bougainvillea narrates the story of Royce, Reethu, and their children, whose lives are impacted after an incident leaves Reethu mentally unstable. The crime-thriller has Jyothirmayi, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and more in crucial roles. It is directed by Amal Neerad and jointly produced by Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures.
