– I no longer work at Equinor. Beyond that, I don’t want to say anything, says Daniel Sollien Stavanger Aftenblad.
Ahead of the ONS energy fair, Extinction Rebellion campaigned at Equinor’s processing plant in Kårstø. Sollien also participated. Kjetil Hove, executive vice president for exploration and production at Equinor, was asked after the action what he thinks about an employee demonstrating at Kårstø.
Hove replied that Equinor supports freedom of expression, but on Kårstø the demonstrators breached the safety zone, and they took that seriously.
Sollien has denied that he posed a security risk during the action at Kårstø.
– I am very concerned about loyalty. But I believe that the blind loyalty where you just repeat every word your employer says has little to do with loyalty, he later wrote.
