New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is set to break his promise before officially taking charge at Old Trafford.
Amorim stressed that he would not sign any Sporting players, but it seems that the ‘gentleman’s agreement’ will not last long.
The Red Devils have been linked with moves for red-hot striker Viktor Goyokeres and other Sporting players.

The club reportedly sent scouts to watch Sporting trio Geovany Quenda, Viktor Gyokeres and Pedro Goncalves in their Champions League match against Arsenal.
The three players have been a key part of the club, especially under Amorim.
The Mirror recently reported that Man United and Sporting CP agreed that Amorim will not sign any of his former players in the January transfer window.
“I won’t [sign Sporting players] in January, that’s what I said. I don’t know about the summer. The first point is to hold on until the summer. Sporting players are very good players,” Amorim said via Manchester Evening News.
The club has been linked with Gyokeres, who is enjoying a phenomenal season. The striker could add quality to their struggling forward line. He has scored 24 goals in 20 matches this season.

The Portuguese coach said he will enforce some rules like banning flying during the off days.
