Brady Brinkley threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 93 yards and a 78-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter as Class 6A No. 2 North Allegheny earned a 28-21 victory over Class 5A No. 1 Pine-Richland (7-1) in a nonconference football game Friday night.
James Donaldson caught six passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns for North Allegheny (8-1), which trailed by seven heading into the fourth quarter.
Maclane Miller ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns for Pine-Richland while teammate Aaron Strader added 54 passing yards and 106 rushing yards and one TD.

Class 6A
Canon-McMillan 27, Norwin 26 — Evan Morris ran for 213 yards and four touchdowns as No. 5 Canon-McMillan (3-6, 2-3) held off Norwin (2-7, 0-5) for the Class 6A win. Ty Jansma threw for 108 yards in the win. Tristyn Tavares threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns while Giovani Rothrauff ran for 162 yards for Norwin, which trailed 27-14 heading into the final quarter before Jake Sincak’s two touchdowns closed the gap to a one-point deficit.
Central Catholic 61, Seneca Valley 7 — Jy’Aire Walls threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as top-ranked Central Catholic (7-2, 5-0) scored 40 points in the second quarter in its Class 6A win over No. 3 Seneca Valley (3-5, 3-2). Elijah Faulkner added three rushing touchdowns.
Class 5A
Peters Township 49, Baldwin 8 — Nolan DiLucia threw for 192 yards and four touchdowns as No. 3 Peters Township (8-1, 3-1) scored 42 points in the first quarter in its Allegheny Six Conference win over Baldwin (0-9, 0-4). Nick McCullough caught five passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a 57-yard punt return.
Upper St. Clair 35, Moon 7 — In the Allegheny Six Conference, Ethan Hellman threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns as No. 2 Upper St. Clair (9-0, 4-0) beat Moon (4-4, 1-3). John Banbury ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a 54-yard pass from Hellman.
Latrobe 28, Gateway 27 — John Wetzel threw for three touchdowns as Latrobe (5-4, 2-3) beat Gateway (3-6, 2-4) in Big East Conference play. Andy Tatsch caught two scoring passes for Latrobe, which trailed after the first quarter, 14-0. Gateway scored on Elvis Koutsakis’ 21-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Harper with 1:58 left in the fourth quarter to pull within one, but a bad snap on the extra point attempt prevented them tying the game.
Penn-Trafford 35, Armstrong 14 — Dom Smith caught three passes for 172 yards and a touchdown as Penn-Trafford (7-2, 4-1) beat Armstrong (2-7, 0-5) in the Big East Conference. Tasso Whipple added two rushing touchdowns for Penn-Trafford. Jaydon Oliver hit Kyan Kline with two touchdown passes for Armstrong.
Penn Hills 27, North Hills 10 — Jay’mere Ellis threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns while Naytel Mitchell added 101 rushing yards and a TD as Penn Hills (5-4, 3-1) beat North Hills (7-2, 3-2) in Northeast Conference play.
Shaler 35, Fox Chapel 19 — In the Northeast Conference, Aaron Aversa threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns and Troy Cignetti caught seven passes for 120 yards as Shaler (3-6, 1-3) defeated Fox Chapel (1-7, 0-5). Sami Tapu ran for 137 yards and a touchdown for Shaler. Lincoln Burgess caught five passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns for Fox Chapel.
Class 4A
Thomas Jefferson 49, Chartiers Valley 7 — Tyler Eber ran for 152 yards and five touchdowns to lead No. 3 Thomas Jefferson (8-0, 3-0) to the Bix Six Conference win against Chartiers Valley (3-5, 1-3). Luke Kosko threw for 192 yards and a touchdown to Eber.
Trinity 38, Laurel Highlands 3 — Jonah Williamson threw for 162 yards and one touchdown and ran for three touchdowns as Trinity (4-5, 3-1) beat Laurel Highlands (4-4, 1-3) in the Big Six Conference.
Mars 35, Hampton 0 — Eric Kasperowicz ran for 201 yards and a touchdown as Mars (4-5, 3-1) shut out Hampton (3-6, 1-3) in a Greater Allegheny Conference matchup. Nate Walker threw for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
McKeesport 54, Indiana 0 — Brady Eastman threw for 113 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing TD as No. 4 McKeesport (5-4, 4-0) blanked Indiana (1-8, 0-4) in the Greater Allegheny Conference. Anthony Cromerdie, Kemon Spell and Javien Robinson all scored two touchdowns each.
Ambridge 22, New Castle 13 — Zavion Lewis, Adam Fernandez and Daevon Cain ran for touchdowns for Ambridge (4-4, 1-3) in its Parkway Conference win against New Castle (4-4, 0-4). Jermaine Walker rushed for both New Castle touchdowns.
West Allegheny 55, Blackhawk 7 — Brock Cornell ran for 155 yards and four touchdowns while his brother, Brodie, added 101 rushing yards as West Allegheny (3-3, 3-1) downed Blackhawk (4-5, 1-3) in Parkway Conference play. West Allegheny gained all 409 yards of its offense on the ground. Brock Cornell added a touchdown on an 89-yard punt return.
Class 3A
Deer Lakes 44, Valley 13 — Zier Williams ran 10 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the season and lead Deer Lakes past Valley (0-9, 0-5) in the Class 3A Allegheny Conference to clinch a playoff berth. Jake Fleisher went 5 for 7 passing for 133 yards and a touchdown for the Lancers (7-2, 4-1). Zach Grant caught three passes for 78 yards and a score and added a rushing touchdown. Roman Smith ran for 75 yards and a TD.
Imani Christian 60, Burrell 6 — Gabe Jenkins ran for 189 yards and three touchdowns as top-ranked Imani Christian (9-0, 5-0) beat Burrell (2-7, 2-3) in the Allegheny 7 Conference. Steve Vandiver tossed for 212 yards and three touchdowns for Imani Christian while David Davis caught a scoring pass and returned a punt for another touchdown. Trey Coury scored on a 2-yard run for Burrell.
Avonworth 48, North Catholic 28 — Dimitri Velisaris and Luca Neal scored two touchdowns each as No. 2 Avonworth (7-2, 5-0) defeated North Catholic (3-6, 2-3) in the Western Hills Conference. Joey Felitsky threw for 261 yards and three North Catholic touchdowns.
Beaver 51, Quaker Valley 19 — In the Western Hills Conference, Travis Clear threw only two passes — both to Amari Jackson for touchdowns — for 108 yards as No. 4 Beaver (7-2, 4-1) defeated Quaker Valley (1-7, 0-5). Jackson added a rushing touchdown while teammate Quay Cain scored twice on the ground.
Central Valley 44, Hopewell 20 — Steven Rutherford threw for 129 yards and a touchdown as No. 3 Central Valley (5-4, 5-1) beat Hopewell (4-5, 2-3) in a Western Hills Conference game. Quinn Connolly caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown for Central Valley while teammate Domenic Pratt kicked field goals of 36, 47 and 44 yards. James Armstrong ran for 126 yards and a touchdown for Hopewell.
Class 2A
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 28, Shady Side Academy 8 — In Allegheny Conference play, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (4-4, 3-3) defeated Shady Side Academy (2-7, 1-4).
South Park 34, Apollo-Ridge 10 — Eric Doerue ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 3 South Park (8-1, 5-0) to the Allegheny Conference win at Apollo-Ridge (0-8, 0-5). Doerue surpassed 1,000 yards for the third straight season and helped the Eagle clinch the Allegheny Conference title, their first conference championship since 2017. Alexander Clawson threw for 121 yards, and Corey Mackintosh scored on a 1-yard run for Apollo-Ridge.
Steel Valley 53, Ligonier Valley 7 – In the Class 2A Allegheny Conference, Steel Valley won its fifth straight game and moved to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play with a victory at Ligonier Valley (3-5, 1-3). The Rams will wrap up the season next week against Apollo-Ridge.
Carlynton 28, Washington 27 — John Sciulli ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns as Carlynton (5-4, 2-3) beat Washington (5-4, 3-2) in Century Conference play. Devonte Dean threw for 129 yards and ran for a touchdown for Carlynton.
Seton LaSalle 42, Keystone Oaks 6 — Michael Pastirik threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Khalil Taylor, as top-ranked Seton LaSalle (8-0, 5-0) beat Keystone Oaks (4-4, 4-2) to secure the Century Conference championship. Taylor caught four passes for 116 yards while teammate Logan King rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Waynesburg Central 49, Charleroi 23 — Jacob Stephenson threw for 163 yards and one touchdown and ran for 197 yards and four TDs to lead Waynesburg Central (5-4, 3-2) to the Century Conference win at Charleroi (1-8, 1-4).
Ellwood City 33, Union 6 — Elijah Palmer-McCane ran for 189 yards and three touchdowns as No. 2 Ellwood City (8-0, 6-0) claimed the Midwestern Athletic Conference win over Union (2-6, 2-4). Chris Smiley threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns for Ellwood City.
Mohawk 48, Freedom 27 — In the Midwestern Athletic Conference, Bobby Fadden threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns as Mohawk (5-3, 4-2) beat Freedom (2-5, 1-5). Mohawk’s Jackson Chapman caught three passes for 157 yards and one touchdown while teammate Blake Logan added five receptions for 121 yards and two TDs.
Riverside 31, Beaver Falls 0 — Robert Janis ran for 221 yards and three touchdowns to lead Riverside (5-4, 4-2) to the Midwestern Athletic Conference win at Beaver Falls (0-9, 0-6).
Western Beaver 47, New Brighton 0 — Western Beaver (6-2, 5-1) shut out New Brighton (4-5, 2-4) in the Midwestern Athletic Conference.
Class A
Laurel 27, South Side 13 — In the Big 7 Conference, Kolton Carlson ran for two touchdowns and returned an interception 61 yards for another as Laurel (5-4, 5-0) beat South Side (5-3, 3-2). Jackson Saunders rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown for Laurel.
Neshannock 47, Summit Academy 6 — Anthony Eakin ran for 121 yards and three touchdowns as No. 4 Neshannock (8-1, 5-0) scored 27 points in the second quarter in its Big 7 Conference win against Summit Academy (1-7, 0-5).
Rochester 38, Northgate 21 — Antonio Laure rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rochester (3-5, 3-2) to the Big 7 Conference win at Northgate (3-6, 1-5).
Cornell 46, Chartiers-Houston 14 — Cornell (7-2, 3-2) downed Chartiers-Houston (3-6, 1-5) in Black Hills Conference play.
Serra Catholic 33, Burgettstown 25 — Serra Catholic (3-6, 2-3) beat Burgettstown (1-7, 0-5) for the Black Hills Conference win.
Jeannette 42, Springdale 0 – Kymon’e Brown threw three touchdown passes and scored on a 49-yard punt return to lead Jeannette (6-3, 3-3) to the Eastern Conference win against Springdale (0-8, 0-6). Jayce Powell caught two touchdown passes.
Bentworth 54, Mapletown 12 — In the Tri-County South, Ben Hays ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns and returned a punt for another TD as Bentworth (5-4, 3-3) defeated Mapletown (1-8, 0-6).
California 56, Beth-Center 14 — Lee Qualk ran for 257 yards and five touchdowns to lead California (7-2, 6-0) over Beth-Center (1-7, 1-5) in Tri-County South play. Adin Keyes added 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just four carries for California.
Carmichaels 19, West Greene 6 — Will Murray ran for 107 yards and a touchdown and Cannon Bupka added 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns as Carmichaels (4-3, 3-3) beat West Greene (3-6, 3-3) in Tri-County South play.
Jefferson-Morgan 54, Avella 20 — John Woodward, Johnny Gilbert and Ethan Crowe each ran for two touchdowns as Jefferson-Morgan (9-0, 6-0) beat Avella (3-6, 2-4) in the Tri-County South. Houston Guseman threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns for Jefferson-Morgan.
Nonconference
Albert Gallatin 48, Brownsville 6 — Caleb DeHaven rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns to lead Albert Gallatin (5-3) to the nonconference win against Brownsville (0-7).
Connellsville 27, Uniontown 6 — Connellsville (3-6) beat Uniontown (3-5) for a nonconference victory in the battle for the Coal Bucket. It was Connellsville’s seventh straight win in the series, which celebrated its 85th anniversary Friday.
Fort Cherry 42, Shenango 0 — Matt Sieg threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns as Class A No. 1 Fort Cherry (9-0) shut out Shenango (1-6) in nonconference play. Nathan Heirendt added 101 rushing yards for Fort Cherry, which outgained Shenango, 422 yards to 80 yards.
Highlands 47, McGuffey 23 – Menage Lucas threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 156 yards and two TDs to lead Highlands (4-4) over McGuffey (0-8) in nonconference play. Darius Cherry added 142 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Highlands.
South Allegheny 48, Sto-Rox 0 — In nonconference play, Ryan Cortes threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns as Class 2A No. 4 South Allegheny (8-1) beat Sto-Rox (0-8). Cam Epps ran for 104 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Wheeling Park (W.Va.) 47, Butler 20 — Brennan Wock ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns as Wheeling Park (5-3) beat Butler (4-5) in a nonconference game.
City League
Westinghouse 68, Perry 0 — Despite dressing just 11 players due to a mass suspension after a bench-clearing melee last week, Westinghouse (7-1) rolled past Perry (1-6) in the City League semifinals at Cupples Stadium. Khalil Green threw for 249 yards and six touchdowns, including three to K-shawn Hawkins and two to Lloyd Penn. Lenny Wicks ran for two scores. Westinghouse will meet Allderdice in the City League championship game at 3 p.m. next Saturday at Cupples Stadium.
Wheeling Central Catholic 49, Carrick 12 – Wheeling Central Catholic (6-2) defeated Carrick (3-5) in nonconference play.
