Comfortably cool conditions today with high pressure in the driver’s seat.  This weather feature promotes clear skies.

Storm Track 3 Forecast: Breezy conditions, warming temps through the weekend

By evening, it will turn into a beautiful one with natural A/C.  Overnight lows will cool into the 40s through Wednesday morning.

Winds pick up the next two days especially across northern and western Kansas.  With a switch out of the south, temps will quickly warm Wednesday into Thursday.

Some temps climb into the 90s south and west.  We will need to watch the far northwest corner of our viewing area for high fire danger.

With higher temps, elevated winds and the lowest humidity around, this would be the area most prone to wildfires.

Another cool front aligns by the end of the workweek.  It comes through dry and resets temps for a comfy Friday night under the football stadium lights.

Temperatures try to warm on Saturday and get cut down with another cool front by Sunday.

Once again, no rain is expected.  Next week looks more seasonable across the Plains.  Weather guidance models hint at a minor disturbance that could have an ounce of moisture to work with by October 8/9.

But we are grasping at straws until a stronger system gives us a hit or miss chance for rain by the middle of October.  Not good news for our drought and Cheney Reservoir right now.
