WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A man was critically injured after being hit by a car Tuesday in northeast Wichita. It happened around 6:45 a.m. at 21st Street North and Rock Road, right by the Dillons store.
KSN News has learned the man was hit by a car heading west on 21st Street North.
“The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and was not within the crosswalk area at the time,” Lt. Krys Henderson, Wichita Police Department, said.
Henderson said the man was taken to the hospital with extremely critical injuries. The driver remained on the scene and was cooperative. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected.
