Violent pursuit crash in San Fernando Valley caught on video

Video captured the moment a sedan being pursued by police careened into the outside wall of a home in the San Fernando Valley early Tuesday morning.

Preliminary reports indicate that the San Fernando Police Department was pursuing the vehicle because it was believed to be stolen.

According to news stringer service RMGNews, the white Kia Forte was carrying four people and hit speeds close to 100 miles per hour during the chase.

Home surveillance camera footage depicts the violent crash, which severely damaged the wall and fence around the perimeter of the property as well as the vehicle itself.

Two of the suspects were said to be badly injured; another home surveillance camera captured the other two suspects running away from the crash scene.

It was not immediately clear where and when the pursuit started, and whether the vehicle was in fact stolen has yet to be confirmed by authorities.

The conditions of the two injured suspects – as well as the status of the remaining two suspects who fled the scene – also remain unknown. No one inside the home was injured.

KTLA has reached out to the San Fernando Police Department for more information.
