The holiday season is incoming, and for those who are of Christian faith, so too is the sacred time of Advent. And for the very first time ever, Burger King is giving customers a way to find surprises throughout the season.
This week, Burger King announced its limited-edition BK Advent Calendar, which stands up and opens like a traditional Advent calendar. This one, the company says, is filled with a curated surprise behind each of the calendar’s 12 doors.
Burger King says the 12 items are “inspired by past and present menu items, iconic campaigns, and memorable moments” in the company’s 70-year history. Altogether, the items will hold a retail value of over $100, the company says.
The cost for the BK Advent Calendar is $19.54 and it will go on sale Nov. 22.
Burger King says customers can text “ADVENT” to 251-251 to be “among the first” to get the calendar.
In addition to the calendar, Burger King says it will also host its 31 Days of Deals campaign, which features digital exclusives for Royal Perks members, including free food, $0 delivery fees and other deals on Burger King merchandise. The company says users of the BK App will have their own digital Advent calendars with deals throughout December.
Burger King is the latest company to release an advent calendar, a group that includes both Costco and Aldi. Grocery giant Aldi’s 2024 Advent and holiday calendars go on sale Nov. 6, according to the company’s website.
The first day of Advent 2024 is Sunday, Dec. 1.
