The nomination committee has gone for a split nomination for seventh place, between Bjørgulv Vinje Borgundvaag and Stefan Heggelund, reports NRK.
Borgundvaag has the majority behind him with ten votes, while Heggelund has seven votes.
Right-wing veteran Michael Tetzschner (70) is set for tenth place, but tells NRK that he wants to challenge Borgundvaag and Heggelund.
– Seventh place is open because there is a shared recommendation from the committee. In addition, more people have signed up. At the same time, under certain conditions, the space provides the opportunity to practice politics, says Tetzschner.
Oslo Høyre has five seats in the Storting, but according to opinion polls, it is likely to secure another seat in next year’s general election.
In addition, several of those who top the list may be eligible for a place in the government should the Conservative Party win the election. Then there may be room in the Storting for them further down the list.
The nomination committee is unanimous about the top six places. There are five who already sit in the Storting, with Ine Eriksen Søreide at the top, followed by Nikolai Astrup, Mudassar Kapur and Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde, and with Heidi Nordby Lunde in sixth place.
Young Conservative leader Ola Svenneby is nominated for fifth place.
