Ap strongly back in Oppland – Frp surges forward – Dagsavisen

Thus, the party is far larger in Oppland than Ap, which receives a support of just over 18 percent in the survey carried out by Sentio for Oppland ArbeiderbladGD, HA, Østlendingen and Glåmdalen. 600 people were asked between 28 October and 4 November.

The leader of the action group for Dokka upper secondary school, Rita Sirirud Vatnedal, has no doubts about the reason for Ap’s fall, which is also reflected in a survey at county council level in the interior.

– Going in the breach for a decision that closes down six schools and school sites at the same time as they stand for a work program that says they will fight for the maintenance of smaller schools, and that they will base a decentralized school structure, is felt by many Ap voters like being misled or deceived, says Sirirud Vatnedal Oppland Arbeiderblad.

Election analyst Arve Østgaard in Sentio believes the figures are extreme.

– It is a shock measurement that will resonate throughout Norway. It is absolutely extreme with the progress of the FRP and that the Labor Party’s fall is so great, he says.

The Center Party gets a record low turnout of 16.1 percent, down 10 percentage points.

Election researcher Tord Willumsen at Høgskolen i Innlandet says it is the FRP’s great progress that is most eye-catching. Many voters come from the Labor Party and the Center Party.

– This is part of a national trend, but it is stronger in Oppland. This may be because the governing parties have taken unpopular decisions, such as the school closures. So we must be careful not to overinterpret. We have not asked the voters about it. We don’t know why they do what they do, he says.
