The 2023-24 season was a wild one that will be remembered forever and now NBA fans with a Netflix subscription will be able to relive it in a very intimate, unique way.

On Tuesday morning, the streaming giant, per Daniel Donabedian, released a new trailer for the series “Starting 5.”

The documentary show will give viewers an all-access look at the last NBA season, through the eyes of five players: LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis.

The 10-part series looks to be a great mix of drama, sports, and real-life stories that fans don’t usually get to see.

“Starting 5” will be a lot like other successful sports shows, such as “Drive to Survive”, “Quarterback” and “Receiver”, as well as “Full Swing”.

It won’t solely be about the success and failures these players experienced during 2023-24, but it’ll also touch upon their personal lives, their families, and how they balance their fame with their private time.

Of course, it’ll also be packed full of the most exciting moments of the year.

Netflix was smart to choose these five players because each of them had epic seasons last year.

James was attempting to continually beat back Father Time, Sabonis was trying to keep his Kings in playoff contention, Butler was hoping to make the Miami Heat a force in the East again, Edwards was exploding in popularity and success, and Tatum was deadset on getting his Boston Celtics to the Finals.

Even though we know how each storyline ended, it’ll still be fascinating to see them in such a novel way.

“Starting 5” will begin streaming on Netflix on October 9.
