The Carolina Panthers won two games last season.

They haven’t won a single game this year and it seems like they’ve already given up on their franchise quarterback.

Just 24 hours after calling him ‘his quarterback,’ HC Dave Canales pulled the plug on Bryce Young, and he’s going to start Andy Dalton instead.

Needless to say, choosing a 36-year-old backup over the former No. 1 pick speaks volumes about how poorly Young has fared with the team, but it might also be because of David Tepper’s constant interference in decision-making.

The Panthers have been bad on and off the field for years now, up to the point where Stephen A Smith doesn’t even consider them to be an NFL team anymore.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, the controversial pundit stated that the players don’t even seem to be all there.

He claimed that he wasn’t trying to disrespect the players, but they know how bad of a situation they’re in, so it seems like they’re just trying to get their checks and get out of there.

He adds that he expects Andy Dalton to turn things around, but he didn’t seem to be too confident about that.

Smith believes it all comes down to ownership and thinks they have created a toxic workplace environment.

The worst part about this situation is that the Panthers parted ways with stars like Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore, and Brian Burns and got virtually nothing in return.

And if this is the end of the line for Bryce Young indeed, that trade may go down as the worst in NFL history.
