The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the most surprising teams in the NFL through the first two games of the season.

Despite the public not having much faith in them, the Vikings have won their first two matchups, including a battle with the San Francisco 49ers.

Sam Darnold has played much better than expected, and their defense has also stepped up when called upon.

While they’ve played great thus far, they can always get better.

As reporter Aaron Wilson recently highlighted on X, the Vikings recently worked out four players, including Kwon Alexander.

They also looked at Ekow Boye-Doe, Caleb Johnson, and Damarion Williams.

All four players provide some intrigue, but Alexander is the most notable name.

He was a brute force on the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has bounced around the league after leaving those organizations.

Alexander was on IR last year after tearing his Achilles, and the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t want to retain him after injury.

With any luck, he’s fully healthy, and if the Vikings like him enough, he could be a candidate for their practice squad, at the very least.

Alexander’s experience could be vital for any team in the league, if for nothing else than to be a veteran presence in the locker room.

If he still has more gas in the tank, he could be a vital contributor as well, but that remains to be seen.

For now, the Vikings will move forward with the team they have, hoping they can do enough to bring their season record to 3-0.
