The New York Jets are hosting the New England Patriots in a massive early-season divisional matchup of 1-1 teams.

After getting their first win of the season on the road against a gritty Titans team, perhaps the Jets can start to rattle some wins off.

With star quarterback Aaron Rodgers growing more and more confident and comfortable, he could have a big night Thursday.

Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Chase Daniel believes Rodgers has to be the reason why the Jets win Thursday.

“Aaron should be and needs to be the reason why the Jets win tonight…He hasn’t been good through two weeks,” Daniel recently stated on The Facility.

First of all, it isn’t exactly like Daniel was ever a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

Yes, he played 14 years in the league for a number of teams and saw a lot, but he was never close to being an elite player or even a consistent starter.

In regards to what he said, he is partly right on the fact that Rodgers needs to be the reason why Gang Green gets the win on Thursday.

The Jets’ defense is off to a slow start and might need No. 8 to play like his old Green Bay self until they can find their footing.

However, he doesn’t necessarily need to fill the stat sheet like Daniel is possibly alluding to.

Rodgers was trying to just find his rhythm against the 49ers, and he finally started to show signs that he is still an MVP-caliber player against Tennessee.

He just needs to go out and make the right decisions and accurate throws, which is what he has done throughout his entire career.

If he can do that and the Jets can play better defense, a win could be likely on Thursday.
