One of the best NFL analysts in the business is ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky.

The 12-year NFL quarterback saw a lot during his time in the league and now is sharing his expertise with ESPN viewers.

With a crucial divisional game taking place Thursday night between the New England Patriots and New York Jets in New Jersey, Orlovsky spoke on Get Up about what he is expecting from the Jets’ offense on their side of things.

“I think tonight comes down to the Jets’ offensive success in Empty…Tonight is a massive night for the Jets’ Empty offensive package and Aaron (Rodgers) running the show at the line,” Orlovsky said.

For those that do not know, “Empty” means that the quarterback is alone in the backfield when he takes the snap because the wide receivers, tight end, and possibly running back are all lined up on the outside.

The point of that type of offensive package is to spread the ball around and create confusion for the defense.

Imagine having to cover four or five different pass-catchers and still having to worry about Aaron Rodgers throwing the football.

That is what the New England Patriots are up against Thursday night on the road.

If the Jets can find success with that type of offensive package, it might be lights out for the Pats.

Gang Green found a groove in the second half of their win at Tennessee last Sunday afternoon and will look to continue their rhythm tonight against a bitter AFC East rival.
