Every year, Cleveland Browns fans hope that, at a minimum, nothing goes terribly wrong for their team so it can have its best chance of playing up to its potential.
Last season, a lot went wrong for the Browns, as quarterback Deshaun Watson and running back Nick Chubb suffered season-ending injuries.
Heading into a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is dealing with injuries to both of his feet, but he has vowed to play through it and simply manage the pain.
But Garrett reportedly did admit he may have to have surgery to correct the problem in the future.
“Have discussed a possible procedure somewhere down the road. Possibly related to double foot surgery he had as a boy,” wrote Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Garrett is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, not to mention the linchpin of Cleveland’s defense.
He had 14.0 sacks, 30 quarterback hits, 17 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles last season, and in the two games this season has 2.0 sacks, two QB hits, two tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
If he’s unable to play, either against the Giants or sometime later on, Cleveland would be in a world of trouble, as it ranks low in several defensive categories and has no other legitimate pass rushers.
The team is 1-1 after outlasting the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, and it has more concerns outside of Garrett’s health.
Watson continues to struggle, as does wide receiver Amari Cooper, and both will need to elevate their level of play if Cleveland is to make the playoffs again.
