The woes of a very disappointing 2023 NFL season seem to have carried over to the 2024 campaign for the New York Giants, as they seem to be a rudderless ship only two games into the regular season.

As if a season-opening blowout loss to the Sam Darnold-led Minnesota Vikings wasn’t bad enough, the Giants followed it up with another rough game against the division-rival Washington Commanders, who scored nothing but field goals but still managed to pull out a Week 2 win.

Although the Giants’ brass was hoping to turn things around, this season might be even worse for New York, as it has struggled to make an impact on either side of the football.

Along with the troubles on the field, the Giants are struggling with narratives and storylines that have developed off the field, with the most recent being that wide receiver Jalin Hyatt might want out of New York, though he recently denied that.

“I feel like it’s a fake story. I feel like somebody is out to get me or something. I didn’t say anything about not wanting to be here. I love it here,” Hyatt said, via Giants Videos.

The Giants are a mess as head coach Brian Daboll can’t seem to get things right on or off the field.

Only time will tell if the team can turn things around, but as of now, the immediate future isn’t looking good for this New York team.
