Coming into the 2024 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens were expected to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender again in the AFC, with reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson playing the best football of his career while guiding a high-powered offense.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, the first two weeks of the campaign have been rough, to say the least, as they lost the AFC Championship Game rematch to the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs after a last-second touchdown was overturned.

As if losing that game wasn’t painful enough for a team that had been waiting months to get another shot at the Chiefs, Week 2 might have been that much tougher to swallow, with Baltimore losing its home opener to the Las Vegas Raiders after holding a fourth-quarter lead.

Despite not getting off to an ideal start, the Ravens made sure to take care of one of their own before Week 3, with the team signing running back Justice Hill to a two-year, $6 million contract extension, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

So far this season, the veteran has just 25 rushing yards on five carries but has contributed eight receptions for 62 yards as the Ravens’ pass-catching back.

During the offseason, Baltimore made one of the most significant acquisitions in the league by bringing in running back Derrick Henry, with Hill expected to be his backup and a change of pace.
