The Miami Dolphins will be without their franchise player for the foreseeable future.

QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered yet another concussion, and even though current and former colleagues, analysts, and even fans have urged him to retire, he’s not ready to call it quits yet.

He’s working to get back on the field, and Skylar Thompson will take the reins of the offense in the meantime.

Notably, Tyreek Hill believes that could actually be a bit of a blessing in disguise.

When asked about Thompson, the speedy wide receiver claimed that he was a little faster than Tua, praising him for his competitive nature and the way he’s able to extend plays (via Fins Xtra & Dov Kleiman).

Of course, Tagovailoa has never wowed people with his ability to burn defenders with his speed.

Then again, the Dolphins boast more than enough speed and talent on offense to give Thompson a helping hand to keep the boat afloat while Tagovailoa is able to get back on the field.

The Seattle Seahawks haven’t looked as solid in the first two games of the season, and while they’re still 6.5-point favorites ahead of Sunday’s contest, the Dolphins could put their defense in some trouble.

Also, Thompson has been with the team for quite a while now, so he’s familiar with their offense, not to mention the fact that he had some more time to prepare for this game.

He doesn’t have anything to lose at this point, and that always means danger for opposing defenses.
