Canadian pop star, singer and dancer Tate McRae will bring her Miss Possessive Tour to the Kia Forum in Inglewood on Friday, Sept. 26.
Tickets for the tour supporting her third studio album, “So Close To What,” will go on sale exclusively for AMEX card holders on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at tatemcrae.com. There will also be an artist presale on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com. The general sale will begin on Friday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com.
At 13, McRae got her first big solo break competing on the reality television competition show “So You Think You Can Dance.” While competing, she was mentored by actress and dancer Kathryn McCormick and advanced to the final three contestants on the thirteenth season of the program, which aired in 2016.
In addition to crafting her dancing skills, McRae has made time to showcase her singing abilities. In 2017, she started a YouTube channel dubbed Create With Tate. The video series featured songs she had written, including “One Day,” which she wrote at 14 and became her first certified hit. Other songs, such as “Dear Ex Best Friend” and “Dear Parents,” drew big audiences and caught the attention of record labels.
Her first five-track EP, “All the Things I Never Said,” released in 2019, featured the lead single, “Tear Myself Apart,” which was co-written by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. McRae followed up with another EP, “Too Young To Be Sad,” and two studio albums, “I Used to Think I Could Fly” and “Think Later.” She’s since collaborated with artists such as Regard & Troye Sivan on “You,” along with Khalid on their track “Working,” Tiësto’s “10:35” and Jeremy Zucker on “That Way.”
