Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday approved the master plan for the expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre to become the largest exhibition and events centre in the region, at a cost of 10 billion dirhams (about 2.7 billion dollars), according to a statement from the Dubai Government Media Office.
