It seems like that strong start to the season vs. the Cleveland Browns was years ago.
The Dallas Cowboys haven’t looked the part in the past couple of weeks, being blown out at home by the New Orleans Saints, and then struggling to keep up with a winless Baltimore Ravens team.
Granted, the Ravens were a much better team than their 0-2 record stated.
That’s why former NFL star Chris Canty believes this is absolute rock bottom for the Cowboys.
Talking on ESPN Radio’s UNSPORTSMANLIKE, Canty talked about their run defense — or lack thereof.

He argued that they had already looked bad vs. the Saints, and what the Ravens were able to do on the ground was even worse.
Canty pointed out that the Ravens had 274 yards rushing and, more worryingly, they had over 100 yards rushing before contact.
Thus far, the Cowboys’ defense has allowed 557 rushing yards through three games, which is the most since 1963.
They’ve also allowed 5.4 rushing yards per attempt, which is the worst since 1979.
Last but not least, they’ve allowed eight rushing touchdowns through the first three games, the most in franchise history.
The Cowboys struggled to stop the run during Dan Quinn’s time, but things have gotten even worse under Mike Zimmer.
Their DT play has been subpar, and even though they’ve faced back-to-back strong running games, this is just a dangerous precedent for them.
Now, they have a divisional matchup on a short turnaround on Thursday night vs. a New York Giants team that’s coming off its first win of the season, and there will be no margin for error anymore.
