The defending champions keep winning, as the Kansas City Chiefs are now sitting on a 3-0 record.

The Chiefs were able to defeat the new-look Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Once again, their defense held its ground and managed to secure a triumph for Andy Reid’s team, and it’s not even a surprise anymore.

At least, that’s how Colin Cowherd feels.

After the game, the renowned analyst claimed that the Chiefs have a similar feeling to that of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, the New England Patriots dynasty (via The Volume).

Per Cowherd, the Chiefs used to be the kind of team that won games after a great drive, but they’ve now won nine games in a row off a defensive stand.

And while people may want to complain about the referees, Cowherd believes the NFL would rather favor teams like the Green Bay Packers or Dallas Cowboys over the Chiefs.

More than that, he claimed they’re the most confident team in the entire league simply because they’ve been there and done that way too many times.

They’ve found success in those situations way too many times in the past, and they’re well-coached and disciplined.

The Chiefs have become the team to beat, and it’s not even close at this point.

They continue to find ways to beat good and great teams, whether it’s with their defense, running the ball, or with Patrick Mahomes slinging the football.

Right now, they do feel very similar to what the Patriots were not so long ago.
