The Buffalo Bills were one of the biggest talking points in the NFL during the offseason.
Parting ways with Stefon Diggs left Josh Allen pretty much devoided of proven pass-catchers, with TEs Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox as his best options.
Rookie WR Keon Coleman was expected to play a big role right out of the gate, but still, plenty of analysts thought their Super Bowl window had closed.
Fast forward to today, and the Bills are sitting on a perfect 3-0 record.
More than that, their offense has been lights out, and Allen is playing perhaps the best football of his career.
That’s why, as pointed out by Trey Wingo on X, he should be the lone frontrunner to win MVP right now.
He leads the league in touchdowns (9), interceptions (0), passer rating (133.7), and EPA per dropback (0.55), all while ranking second in completion percentage (75%).

Allen has found the endzone with his feet twice, excelling as a dual threat and making sure to keep those chains in motion.
The Bills have scored 34, 31, and 47 points, and their defense has allowed just 20 points in the past two weeks.
Sean McDermott’s team got off to a spectacular start to the season, and while some of that could be unsustainable, it’s been refreshing to watch Allen take great care of the football while still making the most of his unique athleticism and strength.
Allen has dismissed all the MVP talk in the past and claims to only care about the Vince Lombardi trophy, but both of these trophies will be on the table if he keeps playing this way.
