We’re three weeks into the 2024 NFL season, and while the sample size is rather small, we can already have some understanding of where teams truly stand now.
Some teams have gotten off to slow starts but could still turn things around, while others have fared significantly better than expected.
With that in mind, former NFL player Chris Canty shared his list of the top five teams that could pose the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs.

He has the Green Bay Packers at No. 5, which is far from a surprise.
They barely lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener, and they’ve gone 2-0 with Malik Willis filling in for Jordan Love.
Then, he has the Detroit Lions at No. 4.
The Lions lost an ugly game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but other than that revenge game from their playoff loss, they’ve been quite solid on both sides of the field.
The surprising Minnesota Vikings got the nod at No. 3.
Sam Darnold is playing some great football, and the Vikings have beaten two Super Bowl contenders in back-to-back weeks, so they seem to be legit.
Then, he has the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Against all odds, Mike Tomlin’s team is 3-0, and they seem to have the best defense in the entire league.
Last but not least, we find the Buffalo Bills.
Josh Allen is the clear-cut favorite for MVP right now, and with their defense playing lights out as well, this might finally be the year they beat Patrick Mahomes and his team.
