In a speech to generals in Pyongyang on Monday, Kim described tensions on the Korean peninsula as historically high, which he blamed on the United States and South Korea.
North Korea has long supplied Russia with ammunition for use in the war against Ukraine, and earlier this autumn it was also known that the country has sent soldiers.
The Financial Times wrote at the weekend that North Korea has also sent heavy artillery to Russia in recent weeks. According to the British newspaper, it will be about 50 howitzer guns and close to 20 rocket batteries.
