The Norwegian show jumpers at the firing range at Lillehammer – complained about incorrect measurement – Dagsavisen

The Norwegian team consists of Anna Odine Strøm, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, Eirin Maria Kvandal and Marius Lindvik.

Strøm opened the ball for the Norwegian jumpers with a good soar on what was stated to be 120 metres. However, the Norwegian national team management was able to say that the jump was incorrectly measured and that they had submitted a complaint with video evidence that she landed several meters further into the ground.

Nevertheless, Norway stayed close to the top after Sundal followed up with a huge jump of 132 meters and sent the team up to 2nd place.

– It’s great, but I was nervous before that first round here now. These jumps do not come out of the blue, they are difficult to achieve, Sundal told NRK.

Kvandal also delivered well when she landed at 127 metres, before Lindvik completed the first round with another giant leap of 137.5 metres. Norway is thus in second place after the first half, 8.9 points behind the leaders from Germany.

There has been no update on what is happening with Norway’s complaint about Strøm’s length.

Last season was a huge disappointment for the Norwegian jumpers when Johann André Forfang was the best Norwegian in 7th place overall in the World Cup. Kvandal was also the best Norwegian woman with the same position. Norway finished in 4th place in the national cup for both men and women.

Austrian Stefan Kraft was clearly the best men’s jumper last season, while Slovenia’s Nika Prevc won the overall cup narrowly ahead of Eva Pinkelnig from Austria.
