While the Conservative Party is still the largest party with 22.4 percent support, the Progress Party is close behind with 22.0 percent. The difference between the parties is thus a marginal 0.4 percentage points.
This is shown by Poll of polls’ calculation of the average for the seven national opinion polls in November.
With these figures, the Conservative Party would have gained 41 mandates in the Storting, while the Progressive Party would have secured 40 mandates.
Violent growth
For the FRP, this is almost a doubling of the election result in 2021, where the party ended up with 11.6 per cent and 21 mandates. The Conservative Party grows from 20.4 per cent and 36 mandates in 2021 to 40 mandates and 22.4 per cent.
In a comment on the Norstat poll from NRK and Aftenposten in which the Frp received support from 25.3 percent of voters, Frp leader Sylvi Listhaug emphasized that the election is a long time away.
– People want a new course for Norway. It is absolutely possible, said Listhaug.
The FRP has experienced steady growth over the past year, and the party is now in a position to challenge Høyre’s dominance on the bourgeois side. But Frp leader Sylvi Listhaug emphasized to Aftenposten that politics is the most important thing:
– It is natural that the largest party gets the prime minister, but politics is the most important thing, said Listhaug.

The decline continues for Ap
The Labor Party continues its downward trend and only gets 18.7 percent on average in the November polls, which would have given it 34 mandates. This is a significant decrease from the party’s 26.3 per cent and 48 mandates after the general election in 2021.
SV remains stable with 9 per cent (17 mandates), while the Center Party continues to fall and lands at 6.6 per cent (12 mandates). Among the smaller parties, Venstre has 5.1 per cent (9 mandates), MDG has 3.4 per cent (3 mandates), and KrF has 3.1 per cent (2 mandates). Red is doing better than in 2021 with 5.9 per cent and 11 mandates this year. The result in 2021 was 4.7 per cent and eight mandates.
Collectively, the Conservative Party, FRP, Liberal Party and KrF would achieve a clear majority with 92 mandates in the Storting, far more than the 85 mandates needed for a majority.
