WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW)—Hundreds took to Naftzger Park on Saturday for the annual ICT Blocktoberfest to celebrate wiener dogs, dad bods, and, of course, beer.
The two-day event had activities for all ages, such as a vendor market, musical chairs, wiener dog races, and even a “dad bod” contest.
One of the event bartenders says the festival always attracts a wide range of people.
“Some people are just out walking their kids or walking with a dog, and then they’re like, ‘Oh, let’s hop in here and see some wiener dog races,’ so I don’t know. It’s always a great event to bring the community together. I think sometimes we can be so divided. It’s really nice when you can see people come together for just a lot of fun,” said Sydney Kester-Phan, a bartender with Xclusive Event Services.
The event is over for this year, so preps for next year are underway.
