A man who was hired to do work on the roof of a Burbank business died while on the job, according to the Burbank Police Department.
The unidentified worker was found Saturday afternoon on top of the roof of a shop on the 3500 block of Magnolia Avenue, across the street from several bustling businesses.
Police administered first aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers learned the decedent had been hired to do some work on the roof and had passed away while doing the work,” a police spokesperson said.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, but police said there were no signs of foul play or trauma.
His body was discovered the day after a busy holiday street fair that drew thousands to the Magnolia Park neighborhood. Police did not say when he was initially hired to perform the work.
The man’s name has not been released at this time.
