More than a dozen students have been treated as part of a medical emergency at Walter Reed Middle School in Studio City.
Officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department said the call came in just before 10:30 a.m.
As many as 14 students between the ages of 12 and 13 were sickened by a possible substance that they ingested or exposed to. As of Thursday afternoon, it wasn’t immediately clear what the substance was.
According to KTLA’s Gil Leyvas, two students were transported to a local hospital. The rest were set to be released to their parents after receiving medical treatment.
The conditions of the transported students were not immediately available.
