The Conservative Party will spend half a billion kroner on private companies to reduce the health queues – Dagsavisen

On Wednesday, the Conservative Party will present its alternative budget. There, the Conservative Party will spend NOK 1.2 billion more than the Støre government to reduce waiting times in the healthcare system, the party told NTB.

Among other things, they will use NOK 500 million to buy available capacity from private companies.

– In addition, we are proposing half a billion to strengthen the general public hospital economy, which will contribute to them also being able to treat more people, says Høyre leader Erna Solberg.

In addition, the Conservative Party will use NOK 500 million in increased basic funding and for increased capacity for 24-hour treatment in mental health care, substance abuse and rehabilitation.

They also want to increase the proportion of effort-based financing from 30 to 50 per cent, as well as to free up NOK 245 million by making it more efficient. The money is transferred to the hospitals’ basic allocation.

According to the Conservative Party, waiting times at Norwegian hospitals have increased by over two weeks since the Støre government took office.
