How to Fast Travel in Throne and Liberty

Traversing a game world can be a very memorable experience on foot, but players will also be able to do so from the sky and through the waters thanks to Morphs. However, sometimes there can be long stretches of terrain that would be time-consuming by such means — this is where fast travel comes in.

Throughout players’ time in Throne and Liberty, they will find many structures they can interact with to unlock various locations to fast travel between as they please. These are known as Waypoints in the game and look like large stones protruding from the ground with glowing markings etched into them.

Life Skills are one of the newest additions to Throne and Liberty, and some players might worry they come late into the game.

How to Use Waypoints in Throne and Liberty

Players will find their first Waypoint in the starting city of Kastleton. They will merely need to interact with it in order to activate it. Each time a player interacts with a Waypoint, they will experience a cutscene that will spin them a tale of the location they are in. This is a brilliant way for players to be exposed to the lore of the Solisium, and have them eager to make their way to the next area. Players can replay these cutscenes at any time by interacting with Waypoint again.

Players will see that there is a cost associated with using Waypoints, but luckily, this cost will only come into effect around level 30. Until then, players will be able to open up their map, move their marker over any Waypoint they have previously interacted with, and instantly travel to that location, free of charge. However, once players have hit the level 30 mark, they will need to pay close attention to how fast they may be burning their Sollant. When fast traveling, players will see the Basic Cost at the top, the Required Cost in the middle, and how much Sollant they have at the bottom.

One Waypoint in particular will require players to ride on the elusive Gigantrite—this is a massive whale that will fly through the skies. Players will need to jump from a high-up ledge and morph if they wish to hitch a ride on this creature’s back to make it to Saurodoma. Here they can activate the Waypoint to return at any time without needing to repeat this process.

Players will also gain the use of Return by progressing through the game’s story. This can be selected from their hotbar or their quick menu, depending on the platform they are playing on, to instantly transport themselves back to the last town or encampment they were at. Doing so will not cost players the usual fee, and can be a lot faster than traveling there by Dash Morph.
