A cooler breeze Friday, mild sunshine Saturday

Storms have moved out and continue to get pushed east ahead of a cold front. Now that the front has cleared the area, we will be back to fall-like standards today.

A cooler breeze Friday, mild sunshine Saturday

Winds will not be as strong as yesterday but there will still be a breeze. With winds out of the north this will help cool afternoon highs down to the 60s and 70s.

Skies will remain mainly clear through much of the day. Any clouds we see pass by will be insignificant compared to the sunshine we will receive. Clear skies and light winds tonight will help low temperatures drop into the 30s and 40s.

Temperatures will be coldest and around freezing to the northwest. A Frost Advisory to the northwest will be in effect until 9am today. Then a Freeze Warning to the northwest will be in effect late tonight through 9am Saturday.

The rest of the area will be colder early Saturday morning too so early risers will need to bundle up. The fall feel continues Saturday. Enjoy it while it lasts because unseasonable warmth and high winds return by early next week.

Record highs will be in jeopardy again early next week as another storm system approaches from the west. Some showers and storms return to the area by mid-week.

Moisture moves out just in time for trick-or-treaters Thursday. The second half of the week will cool back down closer to average too.
