Hip-hop mogul Sean “DidiCombs is currently being held in federal prison awaiting trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

He was arrested last week in New York, amid multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and physical violence, some dating back to the 1990s.

What is a criminal case?

Combs, 54, was arrested Monday, September 16, in New York on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking under force.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Combs created a “criminal enterprise” where he exploited women and forced them to submit to his desires, using his status to hide his behavior.

They also reported finding firearms, ammunition, and more than a thousand bottles of lubricant during raids on his homes.

The singer and producer has pleaded not guilty to all three charges against him, with his lawyer saying he is a “fighter” and will not be afraid to fight the charges.

Combs is now serving his sentence at a Brooklyn detention center that is notorious for abuse and violence inside the prison.

Combs currently shares a space with convicted cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried.

Combs’ legal team tried to release him temporarily due to the horrific conditions in prison, but the request was denied due to “high risk.”

If convicted, he could face a prison sentence of 15 years to life.

Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, was the first to speak out against him, accusing him of abusing her for more than a decade.

Although Combs denied the allegations, the case was quickly settled “amicably” between the two parties, without a direct admission of guilt.

In May, CNN obtained footage showing Combs assaulting Ventura, leading to his later confession to the incident.

Since then, ten more victims, including a man, have come forward claiming they were subjected to For violations By Combs.

One victim, Joy Dickerson Nell Combs, accused her of drugging and raping her, while another alleged that Combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall raped her when she was 16.

The complaints were filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which allowed adult victims to file legal complaints regardless of the statute of limitations.

One of the victims, Jane Doe, claims that Combs raped her in a New York studio when she was 17.

Combs has denied all allegations, and his lawyers have asked that the cases be dismissed as “baseless.”

Video producer Rodney Jones accused Combs of running an illegal enterprise, forcing him to buy drugs and exploiting sex workers, as well as sexually harassing him by Combs and actor Cuba Gooding Jr.

Grace O’Marcaig Combs and his son were accused of sexual assault on a yacht his family rented in 2022.

Several victims alleged that Combs drugged and raped them, using his power to gratify his sexual desires, while continuing to deny all accusations against him.
