The Alamo Drafthouse’s food menu got a “Wicked“-themed makeover to celebrate the movie’s highly anticipated theatrical debut. Other movie theaters are offering similar promotions.
The theater chain rolled out four new specials inspired by the movie. The limited-time menu will be available until Jan. 13.
Here’s what guests can expect:
- Shiz University Chicken Wrap: Grilled chicken, roasted garlic aioli, goat cheese, arugula and tomato wrapped in a flour tortilla and served with fries.
- Yellow Brick Burger: Two beef patties, American cheese, Alamo sauce, pickles and shredded lettuce on a toasted bun with fries and ketchup.
- Defying Gravi-Tea: A mix of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Liber & Co. Ginger, green tea, lemon and mint
- Witch’s Brew: A combination of Malibu Coconut Rum, Liber & Co. Orgeat, soy milk and cinnamon.
At select locations, guests who don’t want a full meal can enjoy popcorn in a “Wicked”-themed popcorn bucket.
Alamo DraftHouse is also hosting a “Wicked”-themed brunch for those who want to see the movie in the morning. The movie party will include singing, green-tinted glasses, pink bubbles, Shiz University notebooks and broom pens.
Other theater chains, such as AMC Theaters, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark and Harkins, will also have limited-time offerings for the movie.
For a limited time, AMC at CityWalk Hollywood will display costumes worn by the film’s lead actors, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey and Ethan Slater.
At Universal Studios Hollywood, Feature Presentation, a retail location inside the theme park, “will showcase props from the film, an exciting photo op will debut within the theme park,” theme park officials previously announced.
