This is reported by NRK. The claim was made towards the end of the second day of proceedings in the Oslo District Court on Thursday.
The two sisters, aged 27 and 30, have been charged with participating in a terrorist organization for six and eight years respectively. In autumn 2013, they both traveled from their home in Bærum to Syria, where they joined IS and where the youngest swore an oath of allegiance to the extreme Islamist group, according to the indictment.
After they left, the sisters also received a lot of attention in the media and through Åsne Seierstad’s book “To søstre”, which came out in 2016. They also gave themselves several interviews after they were interned in al-, Hol- and al-Roj- the camps in Syria.
Among other things, the women are accused of having tried to get more women in Norway to travel to Syria.
The case started in the Oslo District Court on 15 October and is scheduled to last until Monday next week.
