Ben Simmons’ NBA career has been a whirlwind, to say the least.

He came into the league highly regarded and was supposed to help the Philadelphia 76ers take off.

After winning Rookie of the Year in 2018, it seemed like Simmons was off to the races.

However, after three years of solid production, Simmons started acting strange around his teammates, even passing up shots during games.

He made it clear that he didn’t want to play for the 76ers anymore, and ended up getting fined an exorbitant amount of money because he stopped showing up to team functions.

The 76ers were left with no choice but to trade him to the Brooklyn Nets, where he has only appeared in 55 total games in two seasons due to injury.

There have been concerns that Simmons is no longer the player he used to be and that his off-court issues will prohibit him from being an elite player.

However, according to NBA Central on X, skills coach Chris Brickley disagrees.

He was recently quoted as saying, “Ben Simmons is back to playing All-Star talent level basketball. Big season loading.”

Simmons hasn’t inspired much confidence in recent seasons, but Brickley’s comments indicate that he’s back and better than ever.

It will be interesting to see how he performs for the Nets this year, especially since the team has made a few offseason changes.

They didn’t necessarily need Simmons to be a superstar last year, but they will now have to turn to him in a more significant role, assuming he’s up for it.
