After a disastrous end to the 2023 NFL season, which resulted in the Philadelphia Eagles being blown out by Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the NFL playoffs, the team was thought to make some drastic changes in the offseason, with head coach Nick Sirianni potentially losing his job.
Ultimately, the Eagles’ drastic change was bringing in superstar running back Saquon Barkley, formerly of the division-rival New York Giants, which has turned out to be a brilliant move so far for Philadelphia.
However, the Eagles are not playing top-notch football right now, with Sirianni making some questionable calls and the team looking like a mediocre team in the NFC despite supporting a 2-1 record, with wins over the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.
One of the significant concerns for the Eagles right now is on the defensive side of the football as well as the play of star quarterback Jalen Hurts on offense, as things don’t seem to be clicking at the moment, and the team could very well be sitting at 0-3 rather than getting wins in two of their first three games.
For whatever reason, former NFL superstar Antonio Brown felt compelled to point out how bad strong safety CJ Gardner-Johnson has been playing, as he referred to him as “hot garbage” in a recent post on his X account with a video of all his mistakes on the field so far this season.

At this point, most people take Brown’s criticism or anything he says on social media with a grain of salt, considering all that has happened involving the former Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver over the last few years.
However, Gardner-Johnson hasn’t played great this year and it certainly shows in the clip Brown provided, which has to be concerning for the Eagles.
