Prosecutor Jeanette Westlund Hegna submitted a request for a 14-year minimum term when the trial ended in the Oslo district court, writes Oslo newspaper.
It was in June last year that two men were found dead in a block of flats in Sandaker. Those killed were Odd Bjørnar Blomstrand (68) and Helge Kupiec (75). They were found in their respective apartments with 31 and six stab wounds, respectively.
54-year-old Per Fredrik Bamer has pleaded guilty to the murder of Kupiec, but denies guilt for the murder of Blomstrand, who he claims was an emergency guardian.
In addition to the two murders, the 54-year-old is also charged with another case of violence, burglary and attempted burglary.
Bamer has previously been convicted of the double murder of an elderly couple at Sinsen in 1998, which State Attorney Westlund Hegna also emphasizes.
– It is indicated that Bamer has previously been sentenced to 21 years in prison for a double murder, and that he has now committed another double murder. In addition, there are several aspects of the defendant’s personality that indicate that there will be a high risk of new criminal offenses if he is released in time, she tells the newspaper.
A verdict in the case is expected in around two weeks.
